It would make more sense for the Antminers to have DC power supplies. Going from DC to AC, then back to DC again on the PCB inside the antminer should mean that 10% or more of the electricity is being wasted.

I did some else with my antminers.. I buy some two 100w panels and had them connected to a mppt controller but was thinking how can i use them more better..So.. I just try with one panel and buy two voltage regulators.. The antminer is connected to the wall by old psu from computer on the first "front" connections as they should.. But the voltage regulators are connected to the second connectors at the back. So while the sun is shining i get around 100w of from the wall :D And by the night time there is a about 20-30w small psu unit to give power from solar panel number 2 that is connected to mppt and batteries.

Might me best to use the solar panels for everything else in the house instead for just the antminer. It might say more in paying for more solar panels and stuff.

I like the system, but sorry I don't see how this system could ever be producing @$50 per day in electricity. Perhaps $5 per day at best. Below are my math calculations on this system and if somewhere in my calculations I have made a mistake please let me know.

Lets’ assume that he gets a fantastic day with a fairly steady stream of wind and no clouds.  In the morning and in the late afternoon solar panels don’t produce as much
electricity as they do during the peak of the day between 10:00am to 2:00pm hence
the reason for using a 70% efficiency rating in my calculations below.  Thus the maximum Wattage that I think his system would produce for the day would be:

(305 Watts x 3 solar panels x 8hrs x 0.70 efficiency) + (300 x 1 solar mill x 24 hrs) = 12324 Watts/day

Assume the cost of electricity bought from the grid is $0.2496 per Kwh ($0.2496/1000 Watts) then:

(12324 Watts/day ÷ 1000 watts/Kwh) x $0.2496 per Kwh= $3.08/day

If the cost of electricity is $0.2496/1000 Watts ($0.2496 per Kwh) then if his
system was capable of producing 8908 Watts over a full day, the maximum he
would have saved in electricity would be @ $3.08/ day.

I think if you did a poll most home miners are getting to the point of jacking it in. My rigs are all off, I cant afford to pay £300 a month for the pleasure on hearing fans, and that after I sell all the coin I make, so potentially I could be paying more. And those playing the markets, well, if the people at the top dont get their heads out tehir asses even they will be leaving.

600 bucks on blokforge, and they are reliable! haven't failed me, my experience with s9 has been awful, s5 and s7 perfect, s9 have been a nightmare with the boards failing, and the warranty process, don't even think about it, just sell it on ebay.
