If you drop the food on the floor, you can pick it up and eat it in 3s.

C is inside the key for 2 sec meanwhile the ball is outside the arc controlled by PG but one of the defender tip it away and it's rolling on the floor. At that time C has already stayed in the key for more than 3 sec, but the ball is still rolling on the floor and the shot/game clock still running. Is it a 3 sec violation?
How to understand " in control of a live ball."
In this scenario the ball is alive but no one is controlling it. What's the call?
