After reading "Life after google" I bought some crypto currency, Shares in Tencent & Square both doing better than my logical value based investments

Two ideas for the Next Amazon:

1. Coinbase will likely go public between now and early 2021. It is known to maybe 2 percent of all Americans as a way to buy Bitcoin and about 40 other cryptos online and is based in San Francisco. It is a centralized exchange. Eventually ALL exchanges will be decentralized - but that may be in the 2030's. Right now Coinbase is the average novice person's "go- to" exchange for cryptos. It is definitely worth keeping an eye on. They have something like 35 million accounts spread among the USA, UK, Canada and probably 30 other countries. And they offer custodial services where certain tokens remaining on their exchanges earn interest (usually around 3 to 4% annually) paid in the same cryptocurrency. They have a phone app allowing for purchases and sales as well as linking credit cards or bank accounts. Coinbase is not perfect but this is the exchange that almost everyone first uses when getting into crypto and is valued at $8 billion as of 2018 (a bear market year for cryptos). Guessing it will be valued closer to $40 billion if it goes public in early 2021 when a bull run in the larger crypto names pushes Bitcoin and others 50% higher than today's prices.
Then we have -
2. Chainlink (one of about 40 tokens offered on Coinbase) today around $8 per token (market cap about $2.8 Billion) is being used by many if not all governments to put items onto blockchains. This is a huge industry few understand, but it will (and already is) affect insurance, travel industry, local and national government, taxation, identity, food packaging, 3-D printing, retail SKU inventories, online credit card information, the entire legal industry, medicine, hospitals, and hundreds of industries using any form of payment contract/ smart contract. Chainlink creates a trustless contract as if at a 3rd party title company, but without needing the added expenses of a title company- neutral 3rd party. It is easy to see Chailnlink (symbol LINK on crypto exchanges) as replacing 100's of legal tasks and savings thousands of dollars in legal expenses or related expenses each year for small businesses and millions (actually Billions) in savings for large corporations (such as Amazon). What sort of upside does Chainlink have? Well, $100 for one Chainlink would be $35 Billion market cap and that is just barely scratching Chainlink's potential this decade. More likely this token gains use each year, recession resistant as we are in VERY early adoption stages. As companies adopt blockchains instead of cloud storage, Chainlink is the natural #1 go to for smart contract software, not Microsoft and not Apple. Expect Chainlink this decade to rival others in the Trillion dollar category (Amazon, Apple, Tesla, Microsoft) as which company is most valuable. Chainlink may never be a household name but in terms of size it will be right up there with these others. $8 today on the road to greatness. If it were a stock, today it would probably be $40 or even more. But since it is a crypto (governed differently than a formal corporation) it has to be bought only on a crypto exchange.

My idea is to transform the agri market, completely stop our dependence on foreign agri, such as bananas, most citruses etc. Grow them in the US, in miniaturized tropical domes that run on solar, wind and geothermal energy. I look at the big 6 as Hall of Fame stocks. The greatest of all time and we are smack dab in the middle of it. It's like the greatest teams of all time 1920's Yankees, 90'Bulls the 2000 Patriots, Tiger Woods in his prime against the field. I personally don't think anyone is coming up out of the pack to catch these guys for some time. These companies dominate 4-5-6 different industries. The CEO is the key here these guys not changing every other year. They have a singular mindset to be the best and they have birthed these companies to there current position. If Elon Musk say he will step down Monday that stock will plummet to earth. Great work Kerry.

Could you get a look at Intel Vs Nvidia? I don't know what I'm missing, Nividia now valued higher than Intel, yet only make a fraction of their revenue. They are considered a growth stock yet they are slowing down but Intel is beginning to accelerate in theirs.

And the whole AI space that is driving Nividia's hype and growth, Intel is also competing but at a larger scale. NVDA is approx 70 PE and Intel is at 11 PE. I'm sitting here thinking there must be something I'm missing

Nvidia is more widely known for their Graphics processing computer hardware and software. They have been expanding into data centers and even OS processors. Their main competitor in the past has been AMD. AMD competes with Nvidia, Intel, and Apple in computer hardware. AMD, Nvidia, and Intel share the Personal computer market which is much bigger than the Mac market occupied by Apple. Although Apple also makes phones, the others do not. If AMD's succeeds it will take market share away from Nvidia, they are the most direct competitors along with Intel. Nvidia and Intel are conspirators and share market share.

Your 50% right about Nvidia. They have there own eco system for software towards AI, photo editing, video editing and gaming software.

But your correct towards there main focus of revenue are the chips they create for these markets.

Because they have a strong hold in both fields they stay in limelight of popular stocks.

hello ive been watching you for about a week now and first time commenting. it scared me when you said youre glad you didnt buy NVIDIA, nvidia is not only a hardware company, they have the best graphics processor out there currently, their graphics cards are the overly connected to everything artificial intelligence. Yes, NVDA makes graphical processing units GPUs. People some time ago realiZed that for heavy compute needs GPUs (which were originally for heavy graphics processing in video games) handled other taxing processes better than CPUs. They have the “best” general purpose use GPUs. I don’t see them being displaced near term as a go-to chip maker. But guys like AMD may surprise and come out with something. And the problem is the serious tech companies realize you need a customer chip designed to run YOUR specific purposes to really handle AI and machine learning at the next levels. That’s why telsa made their own and Apple dumped Qualcomm.

Im looking at this stock, however the problem is this is assuming people want all this extra stuff. For example, my girlfriend has diabetes and said she would not use this product because she doesn't want the extra information. On paper it looks like a great a idea. I love Livongo, issues is that it’s severely overpriced. Price to sales ratio is 50x! To put into persective, Tesla is at 10x, amazon is at 5x, google 6x and Spotify 25x. Thoughts??

Hey Kerry, what platform do you use to trade?

Nvidia: Yes you are you correct. they produce chips for other companies. They still have a strong future as they are the only 'general purpose A.I. chip manufacturer that is pretty good'. Companies like Tesla switch over to their own chips as "general purpose" is not the best way to get the highest performance (energy usage etc). But there is no other company that can do what Nvidia is doing right now. Intel is probably where the concern is, as they aren't keeping up with the technological innovation that Nvidia is, (lost apple's chip business, losing gaming chip business to AMD) and is a lost cause (similar to IBM). But as 5G is gets rolled out more, A.I. chips will be in high demand and Nvidia will be the go-to. Still a big bull of Nvidia. Healthcare tech is still rather new to me, but I do like where Livongo is headed though!

The best motivator ?

I'm not sure if we're ready for Elon Musk's newest venture, Neuralink. It aims to bridge the gap between humans and AI. He'll conduct a press update that will take place on Friday, August 28. Having a tiny chip implanted that can link the human brain to the machine is a little scary. It could be beneficial for people that are unable to walk because of accidental injuries or someone with medical problems. If it comes into fruition, it would revolutionize the whole medical industry.

Kerry instead of discord why not a telegram channel, you can make a telegram group, where your the only one who is able to tell something and the others in the group are on the receiving end, but still could contact you, you can change the settings so they don't see your actual number and all your private information is preserved how you want, it's quit similar like WhatsApp

Nvidia GPU's are also heavily used for data mining in blockchain. Not sure if Tesla wants to expand their scope to graphics cards for data/gaming/VR. According to an ARK interview, Tesla is 3yrs ahead of Nvidia. If their GPUs are that superior not sure why they wouldn't. So Tesla could take significant market share from Nvidia if they try. Question is will they? Either way, Nvidia isn't going away anytime soon. They will catch back up and with blockchain growth potential there will be plenty of market space. Personally I'm invested in both but with majority on Tesla for 1000s of other reasons.

I think Nvidia is still a great buy because they are knee-deep in AI for computer vision.
