Internet food shopping is set to experience rapid growth in the next few years. As online food retailing grows, so will the complexities for food processors.

Rabobank Food & Agribusiness analyst John David Roeg says while food processors will need to adapt their strategies to the new reality, they should embrace the online trend and look for ways to address the changing needs of both food retailers and consumers head-on.

Rabobank is the largest financial services provider in the Netherlands. The International Direct Banking organization focuses on the activities of Rabobank outside the Netherlands. Joost Landman is IT architect of Rabobank International Direct Banking. In this session, he will speak about how they use Mendix for the customer-facing applications for their European clients. They have implemented Mendix to create a more flexible front-end application for banking Customers in Germany and Belgium. They also use it to integrate with their cloud based Core banking and CRM systems. Rabobank IDB does this with a smaller and (internal) team and collaborates successfully with the business in these countries. Joost will speak about the challenges they have overcome and the successes of the Program to change the IDB organization with new technology, and how they use Mendix to facilitate this success.
