I’ve had several really poor customer service experiences with Fidelity; condescending and arrogant employees. Vanguard good customer experience, but no account there for decades. Both Fidelity and Vanguard have great index ETFs. Heard great things on Schwab, no experience with them though.

I’m not sure if you’ll see this considering this video is 5 months old, but if anyone can educate me that would help a ton. Is there an age limit to investing into let’s say for example an index fund (s&p 500)? I’m 16 and wondering if it’s even possible. Also, If I invest 500 dollars, and the worst case scenario happens, is it possible to end up owing money (for example I was +500$ and now I’m -200$)? I’m okay with taking the plausible chance that I lose the 500$, I just don’t want to start to owe money.

i bought this FXAIX FIDELITY® 500 INDEX off of E TRade.
when i click the ! next to the Symbol it gives the option to AUTO INVEST.
Then it wants me to select a fund. I thoguht it would be FXAIX but no. it wont accept that.
it wants to find a mutal fund. i thoguht this is an Index fund. do i still add money to the FXAIX fund or what? im a noob and lost here..

So what does that mean? That means I would have to buy it at 3.6k and then little bu little invest as much as I want every month? or how?
