Can You Still Crash The Economy In No Man's Sky? | How to Make MILLIONS!!

10 476 views | 20 Dec. 2020

Can you still crash the

Can you still crash the economy in No Man's Sky? Absolutely!

Making money early in No Man's Sky doesn't need to be difficult.

Early game, you'll have the opportunity to dig of ancient bones, or scrap the crashed ship you encounter in the Artemis missions.

Once you have 6million units, you can start buying all of the cobalt you can get your hands on. You'll need 30000 cobalt (or 3 stacks) before you start selling it. Once you have that amount, start selling it to new space stations at the terminal. Then you can buy it back for a huge discount. Buy from the ships in that station as well, then move along to the next!

You'll start making more and more money as you repeat this process. Each 10K cobalt drops the economy on that item by 10%. You'll need 8 stacks to drop the economy as low as it'll go.

Have fun!

ABOUT NO MAN'S SKY

Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the latest 3.0 update, ORIGINS.

An epic voyage to the center of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the center of the galaxy lies a irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

MT Ammocan

Instead of buying the cobalt, refine either cobalt or salt in medium or large refiner, or even ionized cobalt or chlorine, save 100 for each refiner you have, sell the rest, buy oxygen for the loop, fastest cash early game, legit also

Becky estes

Still works great man thanks!

neilorourke71

glad I made my billions before they patched it lol

J RA

Chlorine still works too.

DarthMohammed

I don't understand the point of crashing the economy, really. Yeah, I guess it saves some time by skipping whatever you'd be doing to make that money "normally," but that other stuff you'd be doing is... well, playing the game.

I mean, I've put over 600 hours into this game (I know, that's not really a lot), almost all of that time has been exclusively on Permadeath mode, and I've NEVER had a problem "making money." The natural progression of the game has pretty much provided me with all the units I've ever needed, as I've needed them. Every once in a while, when that hasn't quite been enough, I've just filled up an inventory by mining cobalt, maybe refined into condensed cobalt (or I'll do salt/chlorine when available), sold that and it was more than enough for whatever the need was. On a few other occasions when I had excess amounts of oxygen, I'd refine with that oxygen just to multiply the output and save me some gathering time. This method (with the oxygen) would usually get me absurd amounts of cobalt/chlorine, providing way more than enough "financial breathing-room" for essentially anything. Seriously, if you fill up and sell all of it at one time and just leave it at that, even with the limited stack size on PD mode, it's still a pretty damn good chunk of cash. And you can do that whenever, as many times as you want, with minimal time and effort... and you're actually "playing the game." I mean, is it really that much more fun to do this tedious sell/buy/travel/repeat method?

Seems to me like if you don't enjoy doing the things that "naturally" make you money in this game, you kinda just don't really like playing the game that much. shrugs

Gaming Bacon4554

At how much do is top getting cobalt? I have 10 stacks should I just keep getting more?

Luis zarate

I just started playing this game again from scratch so this whole time I could of been making millions I’m broke lol

WonderingSpoon 1

so what would be the minimum amount of cobalt needed to start crashing economies?

Rey Ray

I need help, every stack I make the max is 500 in the spaceship and on my exosuit is 250. Mine doesn't say 9999 max, is because I'm playing on survival

Nigelnightmare

Why buy Cobalt?
It takes me just over 20 minutes to make 10,800 Cobalt per refiner, Starting with 10 Cobalt.
Method:-
PUT
10 cobalt and Oxygen in a Med or Lrg refiner turns into Ionised cobalt @ 2:5.
Put the Ionised cobalt and Oxygen back into the refiner and it makes more Ionised cobalt @ 1:6.
Repeat a couple of times till you're making 4095 at a time.
Then put the Ionised cobalt in the refiner on it's own to convert to Cobalt @ 1:2.
Each full batch of 4095 takes 4.05 minutes.
If you start with more Cobalt it is quicker by 1-2 minutes.
I run 3 Med + 2 Lrg refiners Per base.
HTH

Clifford Bennett

So I tried the cobalt crash for an hour and lost all my money plus cobalt really anyway to go around it

guru42101

I made my initial cash by dropping a base at each crashed ship I found and selling them every several days. Once I had the gas extractor I started a oxygen extractor and started chlorine expansion. Then I got an Anomaly quest that sent me to a blue system where I found got some blue metal and crafted an irridium drive. Finally I could get to a red system and find an activated irridium planet and setup a base for that.

Matthew Holmes

How the hell did you make 6mil on your artemis ship? They want to give me like 600k for mine lol

BIG duke boi

Don't do the geks like that

JMarv

Does it still work?

Harm Manders

Thanks for the guide was wondering if this still was possible. Although 6M is just shy of what you need. If you need 3x10k Cobalt, each going for 250 you would need 7.5M units right?

Nestor Nazario

How long would you say it took you to get to the point at the end of the video from start to finish? Is this method still worth the time invested or are there others that are more lucrative?

B. E.

Thanks for the video! Why use Cobalt? Isn't sodium more valuable?

Normog Gaming

The Gek of Wallsteet ?

Calvin Balanda

OR, you can turn all your cobalt into ionized cobalt and put it in a medium refiner with oxygen to multiply it. this way you dont have to go through getting 6mil units just to buy some cobalt.

Meep Meeps

I didnt know about the Artemis ship bit. Ill be sure to use that the next time I make a new save. ^^

Also getting the free freighter in the beginning is a plus.

ShamelesCampR559

I have an Activated Indium farm make over 197 million every 12 hours

Gaming Bacon4554

I sold my stuff and bought it back, then went to the next station and sold my stuff, but can’t buy it back cuz it dosent exist?!,!!!! Where the stuff I sold?

Edit: I’m supone and the station I sold to didn’t have chlorine, I’m good now tho I got 10 stacks of cobalt

Max De Faria Loe

Super helpful my man!

黒土ポシノ

Ok, I just have to appreciate the amount of chill your video has. I love the music and I love how mellow and relaxing your voice is. Not gonna lie, been watching this video on loop while I figure out how to get my first 6m Units LOL amazing video DadGuy. Keep it up!

DadGuy

Cobalt crashing is still an option, it just takes a little more prep work after the patch :D

champion_sabre

nice vid dude, way to blow up these promising economies ;)

Ghost Though

Thank you :)

Capt. Goodvibes’ NMS Adventuring

Don’t be daunted by a couple pilots that don’t have any. Keep trying all the pilots. They will have more. I have stuck around for a long while and it never runs out for more than a few pilots. Definitely faster than teleporting or warping.

Currently working with 54 stacks in normal mode. ?

FYI, I used this video to learn how to do it. In fact, I made all my spacebux this way. And, sticking around the same station let’s you work the salvage angle simultaneously. Thanks!

BlackRaven

Hello I wanted to know if I could have some money as I have none ? so can I have ur friend code and some tools as almond mine are broken ????help me please

Samuel Martinez

Tip: just get one full stack of cobalt and do the anamoly duplication glitch. If you’re even further a long in the game, just use an even more valuable mineral like activated indium.

NatePlayzGame

I'm still a little new to the game and my stacks only go to 250, how do I stack it to 9999 like you did?
Also great vid btw, helped out so much!!

There are a ton of ways to make money fast in No Man's Sky, but what is the fastest way? In this guide I will compare making money with Wiring Loom vs Cobalt to see who the winner is. The Exo Mech and Living Ship updates changed some things around but the economy hasn't changed much. So let's go find some wiring loom and start making tons of money super fast!

Decided to replay the game with a friend recently and was showing him this method but it seems to be completely nerfed now, I just sold 10,995 cobalt that I farmed on the starting planet @ -0.08 % and went to buy it back but the rate was only -11.7% I am disappoint :-(

MoonWolvesDev

does it still works ? cause i was loosing money

Wildstone7987

I have 9999 cobalt and when I sell it it goes for a higher price I had to reload a previous save cuz I would have lost all of it

Sukotto82

I have some things I want to test out now. after seeing this just out of curiosity. if it will work with large quantities of items they don't always have like ionized cobalt I have tons and tons of ionized cobalt from doing cave exploring and getting underground relics that give tetra cobalt witch each give 125 or 150 ionized cobalt each and I have an inventory full of them.
curios if I sell them all to the system if I could buy them back for less than what I sold them for.

Craig Moran

Got 19bil in no mans sky making stasis chambers and nothing to buy xD

Richard Briley

Should do one with cobalt and salt refinery compare.

Patrick Sky

No longer working in October

Andysbx

I’m new to nms and I did this and made a bunch of units but the markets aren’t recovering even after a five hour session still crashed. Did they patch it or am I doing something wrong?

Tosh Omni

I always play in survival mode because it's slightly more challenging and carrying around ridiculous amounts like that seems a bit of a cheat. Great advice though.

MrRayner

Just make clorine by far the best money maker from day 1

Andrew Oostindjer

I Maxed out my units to 4.2 billion just flipping cobalt... just use your teleporter to go from space station to space station and sell cobalt en then buy it back. then move on to the next system and do the same. I have about 48 slots full of cobalt stacks.

Ken C

I'm having a Fable 1 flash back. Anyone else does?

Maier Racing Photography

Watching these videos Im 8 hours into a playthrough (never played before) I have a freighter 2 A class ships 1 S class, 1 Exotic (sucks though) and like 80,000 colbalt

Clinton Seaman

I literally mined about 13,000 cobalt, on normal game. 1 and a half stacks. Then started making money on first sale. I now carry about 14 stacks when on a money run. It makes a bundle

Dan Bailiff

This was patched out in the Origins update: "Trade economies have been rebalanced, so that the economy will be less affected by the mass selling of non-specialist items."

Carol Stokes

2:30 Yess i managed to earn money via DollarTod.c om

$500 in a month is easy

είναι ένα εργαλείο εργασίας για όλους

nope

Stopped watching when he said press zero lol

The Welder

BE AWARE that this exploit DOES NOT work with No Man's Sky - Beyond and after. I was a big Cobalt flipper, with my entire ship filled with the stuff, making almost 100,000,000 profit per station I was visiting. However since the Beyond Update, this exploit has been fixed in such a way that you can't use it anymore. So for example, if your Cobalt cargo says that it is worth 80,000,000 when you sell it, you will NOT get 80,000,000 for the sale. Even though you are selling the Cobalt in bulk, what seems to be happening is each Cobalt unit is being sold individually and as each is sold, so it reduces the amount you will make from that unit sale. So the market does crash, but you won't make 80,000,000, you will make like 15,000,000 and it will cost you usually >15,000,000 to buy all the Cobalt back again, so you end up losing money this way.

Lee Hillaby

Thank you for this step by step. I just never figured it out before.

Kaden Gilchrist

I think the update patched this out :( I'm super sad because I had just started using it and then the update dropped and I wasn't done getting rich :(

TheMassOverride

I found a moon that has a S class gas source, turned out it was oxygen, built a massive farm to get tens of thousands of oxygen that I add to chlorine to Mass produce

Evil Santos

I'm close to 1b and I didn't even try hard. I just refine Chlorine and I keep it on me until I find a station that sells it. I get around 120m and then you can buy it back for 20m+. That's if you don't want to keep refining it and selling.

bmac_336

Hey jason, soo im on ps4, and i have a hardcopy of nms... and it says that it is fully updated, but whenever i go to my trophies, it only has one dlc... the pathfinder dlc... am i glitched or something??? ???

0pul3nt

I'd love to see something like this for survival mode, since you can't stack up to 9,999 in one space.

Kyle And World

Don't even both flying. Use the Portal and portal hop to many system at now cost. In some instances you will be rewarded in tech upgrade items for you exosuit, ship or base components etc.

Brandon

Wiring loom and salvaged data are your best friends for making money in permadeath. That low inventory capacity makes selling elements trash. If you're gonna collect or dupe anything for money in that mode it has to be wiring looms and salvaged data for max profits

Blastoid 37

This was made inefficient now

f

aguyfromnothere

Is this better than mining? I just jump to 3 bases and sell it for 120 million a day and then on with the game.

ITZMrBlue

Thing is its easier to get colbat. I used your method on the bigger refiner. Wiring Loom just costs more than regular colbat.

Alex Thompson

Lol this is good to know, I have 70k cobalt chilling in my freighter lol

Jonathan Jones

I just farm up some chlorine then buy all of the oxygen I can from every system I can then use the medium refiner to make 6 chlorine for every 1 using oxygen to multiply it. I was a millionaire within my first couple hours of playing, mainly because it took me a while to figure it out.

pjs5406

does this still work? Im having a hell of a time getting it to crash the market and not going positive at all.

Dale drake

Just started the game does this still work

Spayd

I’m a little late to this video but wouldn’t chlorine be better than cobalt?

xiiRageZx

It doesn’t work anymore my guy. Cobalt only crashes to -3,9% for me. I also lost half my money with wiring loom so idk what to do now.

Cardboardgenie

I've done both wiring looms and Cobalt on a survival playthrough.

If you want to crash the market with Wiring looms you need to get about 200 of them. With 183 I still couldn't buy them all back.

So if you want to switch to Wiring looms you need 10-14mill (50-70k/piece) credits to start flipping looms

Charbel Chaak

someone explain buy and sell %s in the galaxy map PLEASE

The Reckless Bushwhacker 1

Chlorine and 02 med refiner , nuff said

Linas Ramanauskas

Did they pached it? I tried to do this across 6 stations and I lost money. The demand is still at -4.5% even tho the station has 7k cobalt.

Sukotto82

actually the buy and sell are very important when dealing as a merchant.
79.5% sell is amazing place to sell goods especially if they need them but even normal items will sell more there than in someplace with say 59% sell. and the other place that had -29.1 buy is an amazing place to buy stuff as their overall prices will be much better for buying compared to say a -13% buy.
the max buy that I know of is -30% so -29.1 is really good. I go for no less than -25% when buying. the max sell that I know of is 80% so the 79.5 was a very nice place to sell goods to.

I try to shoot for something above 70% usually.
I've sold a mining commodity to a power generating economy instead of a mining economy and made more money because of these %s.
if your just going to crash the market anyway I guess that stuff doesn't matter but when just generally buying and selling these %s are important to get the most for your money.

The perfect system would be a 3 star economy with 80%sell and -30% buy but I don't think such a place exist but if it does it's the perfect economy both for buying and selling. the names your looking at don't really matter as much as your making them sound it's the star rating your wanting to look for when it comes to quantity of products available you want a 3 star economy for more items available there are several different names for each star tier of economy but they are all going to be pretty close to any other system with the same star rating so go for 3 star ratings.

Kallekofot

I did this when i started the game a week ago, worked great for a while. In the end i was selling all my Cobalt for 80mil and bought it back for l like 20mil. Took me few jumps before i realized I'm not gaining any cash, i actually was losing 1mill every jump. Jumped to a new system, looked at the price for selling and it said i was getting close to 80mil but when i sold i only got 19mill odd enough. I had 4300000000 by then so no worries but still it stopped working for me.

Sebastian Larsson

Omg u can't believe how much this helps. Im a complete noob and i now know how to make money even tho that i don't know any good farming methods etc

MadMango37

Higher demand means they have an shortage of the material, so it’s more expensive to buy; and you gain more selling it.
Lower demand means they have an abundance of the material, less to gain selling it, and can buy it for cheap.

Ryan Dixon

Brilliant making 8 mill on trade offs on cobolt and buying back for 2mil, thanks for the tip brother

Ps its handy to do this with multiple materials iv just sold 11mil worth of cobalt, 5 mil worth of salt and i think 6/7 mil worth of chlorine, bought its all back for no more than 5 mill

Kristian Burton

I seen a similar video to this and in the comments people were saying this has been patched.

Vessel Eightyseven

You may have mentioned in another video but where do you pick up a scanner for the economy? New to the game by the way lol just got to the black hole in the story line ?

Jeff Miller

Does the wiring loom farming not work on survival mode? Or did this recent origins update patch eliminate this option?

I'mKoolツ

How much money should i start with

d20Daddy

Didn't know if you've been told or found out on your own, but you can just scroll left at zero to select the entire stack of items in the market. Really enjoying your vids, they've been a lot of help. Thanks!

Jason Alexander

LOL just sell the special Items to the three star systems. 100mill 10min just cycling between three systems.

idiotink

I use just normal cobalt i make 50mil ever time i can make 1bill in about 30mins if im going as fast as I can

Father Beocca

Does this still work?

Dante Wolf

This still works, you just need to have more Cobalt to have the same amount of crash, I think it's 8 full stacks now just to get to -80%. Though most of the npcs, that stopped into the station, seemed to be carrying up to 5k cobalt, so getting up to 10+ full stacks was easy. I would recommend being careful and using some units to beef up your ship, because you may love racking up the units, but pirates, even if they are easy, will have a chance to come after you.

Patryk Wierzbinski

At the beginning, you mention that for example chromatic metal is at +1.7% so they have a little too much (meaning the price should go down with positive %), but then when you crush the market, cobalt is cheap because it's on -60%.7% (so that would mean you should buy when the minerals/products are at negative, not positive :) ) . Then sell when it's positive because the "Demand" is high... that makes more sense :D
Plus, on cobalt you didn't double your money really.... you bought the second batch for 390K, but you didn't add the 100K loss you had already, from the initial sell. So you had just above 300K profit, but then you paid 368K so you ended up with 68K loss....

Equinox

I personally have always used the cobalt flood system, but just make sure you come prepared. You will need extensive amounts of warp cores....... don't make my mistakes

Narrative Knight

Thank you for the explanation. I am going very slowly but this is really amazing so I might create a circle, especially if I make bases at each stop with portals. Then I can do it without all of the space jumping because I can straight portal jump. What if I made two circles with say 6 new star systems in each. Is it a bit much? Yeah, but then I am kind of a go big or go home type of player. :)

Luke McCullough

Why not both lol

Gonzie6

You need a lot more stacks of this to get any cash. 8 stacks of 9999

TheAkmur

Did they nerf this? It doesnt seem to work with origins

Antoni Kita

but cobalt in the load tab you can still 9999 in one and the wiring loom is probably 60 but I'm not sure

Kaizer 777

Cobalt is great to start with, but once you have some money built up, I recommend trading Chlorine in addition to Cobalt. You can make Chlorine for free by combining it with salt, but if you want to save time, I recommend combining it with Oxygen instead.

Carlyle Gafeney

Does this work with origins?

PlectrumZ Production

If you click one back you save time while buying stuff

benjamin aucoin

Did they nerf this significantly? I can only seem to get up to a 40% crash with about 4 stacks of cobalt, meanwhile hes getting to 60 without even a full stack? Do I need to be in a better economy or something?

Flare

Where did you find your ship?
Reply cords is you know, thanks!

Edit: Never mind i found your video on how to get that ship, sorry...

Loco Pollo

Hey Jason. New sub here and new player. Been using your vids to help me get started in this game and money is now my focus. But I’m confused on the demand aspect. If it’s plus it means there’s not enough? And minus is too much?

Ivan Alaskevich

> I don't wanna cheat…
> Let's crush economy!

Bleu Devil

Make sure you have allot of the hyperspeed fuel for all that traveling I made 1 BILLION in ONE HOUR just off cobalt but I ran out of gas my first try if that happens to you just use the teleporter at the station to get back

Jumbo Twinkie

I do this along with oxygen, sodium, ferrite dust, gold, and sometimes platinum or silver for a bonus

Chris Marz

I’m doing exactly what you did in the video but I am losing money. Why is this?

Mr.Monkey

Is it patched?

Jeremy D

This is not working now. I'm not seeing any numbers anywhere hear what's in this video.

J G.

It's not an intended portion of the game, no matter which you use. The market crash idea works though. But it isn't an intended game play mechanic. Just to let new players know. It basically means you win the game without earning it. I made 100 million in like 15 minutes doing it. I felt dirty afterwards so restarted on permadeath.

The Masterchief

Well done on 100k

Hello 1

In the space anomaly Someone gave me 500MILLION worth of A.I. Valves or whatever it was.

_ goodwin10k

This would have been much more helpful as a 3 min video, most good buisnesses dont make their customers wade through shit to get what they want......Im looking at you YOUTUBE

Double_Carson 25

Just wanted to say thank you very much for this video. After watching this a couple days ago. I started off bone nothing. And after a couple days of grinding and a lot of warp jumps. I just now made a profit of $70,000,000. Witch brought my total bank to a little over $4,213,000,000

Ca West

that one guy that economy crashes with stasis devices

Sacha Daenens

I don't see why you'd ever do anything other than cobalt crashing every station you come across like some kind of Space Age Mansa Musa. At this point, every new system I visit is basically like passing Go and collecting salary. I'm at roughly 75 million in profit per jump just stuffing my exosuit inventory with as much cobalt as I can.

Land in station > buy exosuit inventory upgrade if not maxed out > sell all cobalt > immediately buy back all of it + whatever additional cobalt was at the station > optional: spend a minute or two buying from other pilots before taking off > jump to next system.

If you're properly set up you can make billions per hour with no effort. I'm selling about 500,000 units of cobalt for about 100M with each visit right now, then buying it back for about 5 million per stack of 100k. The only cost is time, and the warp cells you spend going from system to system, which if you have a couple S-class hyperdrive upgrades shouldn't be too difficult. If you have the proper system scanners, pick out wealthy systems if possible. If you buy up all cobalt from the terminal and the pilots your inventory will grow with about 10-15k per system.

Repeat for endless profits.

1000gamer

The 2 hours reset is false, I crashed around 12 systems played non stop for a whole day (around 8 hours) and only 3 markets had reset... Can't find any solid info on how they reset

Colin Evans

You say 500k on cobolt when actually you don’t even need that much if you end up finding it before going to buy it or at least some to make it even cheaper for you hehe ??

Jacob Miller

If you're on survival wouldnt it be better to do cobalt to gain money pop back to the first system and do wiring looms once you have the cash for it. Due to value versus max stacks for inventory space. On survival you dont stack to 9999.

did they fix this? i'm having trouble i keep losing money i've tried it on multiple systems

I know this is a older video. But I use Colbalt and Chlorine. Every system has Colbalt but when you find a system that sells chlorine you can make a tone of money on that. So what I do. I have two haulers with over 40 storage slots, one is loaded full of cobalt and one loaded full of chlorine. The I crash with those two. I've made almost 1 billion in just a couple days.

Mike K4ISR

To "crash" the ingame market, it requires high numbers purchased. 10-100 wiring looms will not be enough to do so.

xLogikBomb

Lots of people in the comments are going on about which one is better for which mode. Short answer is this: Cobalt is better for normal mode and wiring loom is better for survival mode due to stack limitations.

Jason already addressed how to use this method for normal mode, soooo...

Here's my survival mode tips for anyone that is about to do the wiring loom method or has done it in the past and is looking to maximize the efficiency of the process in the long-run. The numbered steps of this guide assume it is the player's first time using this method, however, the maximization of efficiency is built into those steps and the FINISHED segment. I suggest a full read for both newbies and those looking to maximize income.

1. Make two storage chests that are empty are ready to be filled at your base (we'll use these later).
2. Clear out all of your general AND cargo space (the more slots you have open, the better).
3. Get a lot of stations connected to your teleporter (warp around to a dozen or more new systems). This will happen naturally as you move through the following steps.
4. Buy up all the wiring loom at your current system's station.
5. Warp to a new system.
6. Sell all the wiring loom at this system's station, thereby crashing the market.
7. Buy it all back (make sure you're always buying the max amount or as much as your inventory can hold).
8. Repeat steps 5-7 until you are satisfied with your unit count. It is important to keep your inventory full of wiring loom once you are done. Your last buy/sell transaction should be to buy NOT sell. We want a full inventory once we are done.
9. Return to your base and offload your full inventory of wiring loom into the storage chests you made during step 1. This is done so that the next time you need some units and want to go on another wiring loom run you don't have to slowly build back up your inventory of wiring loom. The stations sell very few of this item at each system, so unless you're starting with an already full inventory worth of wiring loom, you will end up using a dozen or more warp jumps/teleports dealing with small quantities and trying to rebuild a full inventory of wiring loom to maximize sales profit. We don't want to have to do that more than once. The next time you start buying/selling wiring loom, you want to be able to start the process with max quantities at the beginning so you can immediately start rolling large amounts of units over to your wallet right away.

- - FINISHED - -

Now that your initial run is complete you should have many systems that you can teleport to now, as well as two storage chests full of wiring loom. It is important to remember that stations will reset their inventory and prices every 20-24(ish) hours. Knowing this, we no longer need to warp to do this process. We can reuse the ones we have already added to our teleporter list. From here on out (whenever we want to refill our wallet again), we can simply fill up our inventory with the wiring loom from our storage chests, go to the first station on our teleporter list, and begin repeating steps 5-8 (only from now on, step 5 will be done instantly and for free with the teleporter instead of warping and the process becomes stupidly fast and lucrative). With a completely unlocked general tab and cargo tab, you will now be making approximately 50 million credits with each teleport. Teleporting from one system to another and selling/buying takes only 1-2 minutes. That's 50 million units per 1-2 minutes. You can see how that can get you to unit cap quickly.

I wrote this looking to maximize income with the wiring loom method on survival mode. I'm not saying it's the absolute best money maker in the game, only that it is highly efficient in the long-run when done properly. If anyone reading has done this or something similar and has tips for maximizing income with this method, please let me know. Happy trails!
