When he said you have to cut off the cash flow and cut out the reinvestment, I was thinking no you need to end the drug war and legalize it.

Jeffrey Robinson is a statist. He's the guy that would have yelled at the mob and tried to promise that Marie Antoinette really had cake coming for everyone. He's the guy that would praise Chairman Mao for starving all those unworthy people because they didn't agree with socialism. He's the guy that thinks its ok for government to control peoples lives.

4:19 was he about to say HSBshit?

rosscoANDmana

I LOVE how he keeps shutting her spurious arguments down with "try robbing a bank and using that excuse"!!! LMAO!!! Us 99% are the only ones obeying the laws. Even the department of justice is a corrupt organized crime money laundry cartel!!

In the wake of last week’s killing by police of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, ACLU deputy legal director Jeff Robinson discusses failed policing in America and a better way forward.

Why don't you tell your homies if they didn't commit crimes they wouldn't have these problems. Tell them to get a good job, spend time with their families instead of knocking up every woman they can and then leaving them and smoking weed all day. Get a freaking job and raise you kids to not commit crimes, instead of teaching them how to "keep it real" and be a burden on society.

Police always try to escalate every situation! The biggest problem is a lack of police accountability!

Sailor Barsoom

You're right of course. It isn't a question of rootin' tootin' shootin' or let criminal run amuck. De-escalation works, and I'd like to see a lot more of it.

I will make one little nitpick, and you are certainly not the only one who does this, but...
I'm tired of hearing about the police and "civilians," as in we're civilians and the police are not. Actually, yes they are. The police are civilian law enforcement. They are not the military. They are civilians. Just like the rest of us.

With that out of the way, this was a wonderful video and I thank you for putting it up.

Matthew Smith

i support the police, not criminals getting shot on video tape.

Proud shout out to our local police chief for the City of Everett, Washington.  Our full police staff is completing 40 hours of training on CIT (including de-escalation training) and leading the way for other municipalities in the state to do the same.  This is important and meaningful.  At a time that the City of Everett has a lawsuit against Purdue (big-pharma) over the opioid-crisis and unconscionable levels of drug addition and overdoses in our community, it is critical that police be trained in intervention, de-escalation and plugging into our local social services.

I think the ACLU; atheist communist liberty union; needs to watch what they are doing; they help a little; but seem to be on the fringe of insanity at times

I just watched an hilarious interview where a young lady named Lauren Southern calmly dismantled Jeffrey Robinson's line of argument concerning gun control, to the point where like a cornered dog he resorted to using character assassination and name calling.

He just needs to stick his head into that shredder.......
